The 58-year-old host and producer looked back on his career but also on this birth handicap which still accompanies him today.
Arthur opens up about his birth defect in his right ear
Not very talkative on the subject, Arthur confided openly about his hearing problem in his right ear: “I have had a problem since birth, which is that I am deaf in my right ear. I have blocked ducts. Which means I can’t take cocaine, much to my despair.”he joked before speaking more seriously: “When I was a kid, I had a lot of ear infections. I had a parasynthesis and I am deaf in my right ear. Which was very complicated for a personality who works on TV or radio. Moi, I wear an earpiece during my TV shows, not so that someone speaks in my ear but to be able to hear my guests.”
Arthur, father “strict” but fulfilled: “I only live for my children”
During the show, Arthur also indulged in some confidences about his life as a father with his three children: Samuel, Aaron and Manava, the daughter he had with his current partner, Mareva Galanter. If the host claims to be a gaga dad with his 8 and a half year old daughter, he nevertheless admits to having been an absent father with his eldest son: “Moi, I only live for my childrenhe assured.
