The life of an artist has its good sides, but also its bad sides. After an international career of more than 60 years that he still continues today and 6 million records sold, Dave perhaps thought he would receive a bigger pension. Dave, unhappy with his “crappy retirement”, reveals the amount of his pension

Dave, in order to be very transparent, also revealed the amount of his pension which he considers insufficient in relation to his lifestyle: ” With my retirement of 1700 eurosI don’t even have enough to pay my rent, far from it ». He had also described this sum as « shitty retirement » in an interview given to Figaro.

On the plateau of Big Mouths on RMC last May, the octogenarian had also compared this “little retreat” with that of an acquaintance: “I have a friend’s girlfriend, who is a retired flight attendant, who at 3,000 euros ». To explain this difference, Dave blamed the artists’ pension system.
“Back then, in the 1970s, there were vignettes. It was around 450 francs per artist. So, whether we earned 10,000 francs or 1,500 francs, it was the same amount for retirement”he had deplored. Dave lives in the 16th arrondissement in a secure villa: “It’s a ghetto of rich people…”
Despite his complaints, Dave never really left that lavish life behind. The latter indeed lives in one of the most privileged places in Paris, la Villa Montmorency, in the prestigious 16th arrondissement. In this residence entirely fenced and secureits neighbors are artists, business leaders and even politicians.
