I will always work”.
Obviously, this little retreat does not seem to worry Jean-Jacques Debout’s wife who continues: “It’s not a question of choice, it’s a question that
I like to work. Rest ? I’ll rest when I get up there. But on the other hand I have everything I need,
I have my energy.” And nothing is left to chance for Chantal Goya; If tomorrow everything were to stop, she has already planned everything.
At 82, Chantal Goya has projects in her head
She confides: “If there are no more shows tomorrow, well I’ll open a little shop with flowers, carrots, turnips, all that… In my head, I have lots of projects”. Obviously determined to pursue an activity at all costs rather than enjoying a peaceful retirement, the singer of the yé-yé years never seems short of ideas.
Moreover, this is not the first time that Chantal Goya confides in her financial situation. Throughout her successful career, the singer has even pocketed large sums of money. But as she explains in a podcast dating from April 2023, she has never chased money, preferring to benefit others.
