After 35 years on the air, Geneva’s Maria Mettral will present the weather forecast for the last time this Sunday.

It’s a piece of RTS history that is being played out this Sunday. After 35 years as a weather presenter, Geneva actress Maria Mettral will bid farewell to viewers at 8 p.m. on RTS 1.
Arriving at RTS in 1989, Maria Mettral, beyond the weather, participated in numerous broadcasts, Babibouchettes to sitcoms Hair curlers And The Chroniclevia the cultural magazine Hotel. An accomplished actress, she also gave voice acting lessons to her colleagues.
Although retirement time has come for the weather, Maria Mettral has no intention of slowing down. She will continue to devote herself to her passion for theater and the training she provides. A role that she will continue in the coming months within the RTS.
Does she feel nostalgic as her last appearance on the air approaches? “Not at all!”, she replies categorically. “I am reaching a stage in my life where I need to concentrate on the most essential, and for me it is the stage and the classes that I give,” she confides.
