Season 8 of Married at First Sight ended last night, Monday June 24, with the broadcast of the episode “What have they become ?”, six months after the end of filming. It was time for some to take stock of the situation, more than necessary in the case of Marie and Jérémy. La Six first broadcast the part where the ex-spouses explained Jérémy’s change in behavior, then took stock six months later. The marble worker first apologized for his disrespectful behavior. “It’s just me who was exhausted and the slightest thing made me bitter and it’s true that at one point you said to me: ‘I feel that there is something, what is it? ‘it happens’. And that’s when I told you things and I freaked out a bit…”, he explained.
“She doesn’t want to speak to me anymore”
Jérémy then admitted to having gone too far. In his attempt to smooth things over with Marie, he confessed to her: “Everything came out not very pleasant and not very nice”. The young woman then told him that she had in no way understood the discrepancy between his behavior a few hours before and that which he showed towards her at her home. “I didn’t think you were going to want a divorce.”, she confided to him, still so hurt. The Bordeaux marble worker then justified himself: “I was in such a state of weakness and fatigue… I was bitter, I wasn’t feeling well that at the first open door, I threw myself in. It’s true that I often kept that thing to keep to myself, to say nothing until the moment it upsets me too much and I am without a filter (…) I have never managed to manage that“.
In the second part of the show, Jérémy and Marie met again six months later and the young woman had the opportunity to watch the review episode in which her ex-husband had very harsh words about her like the fact that he no longer wanted to see her… Faced with the violence of the images, Marie, who appeared with her hair cut, was unable to hide her emotion and came out of the frame to cry. If some believed in a backfire, nope. Marie and Jérémy did indeed announce to their respective mothers that they had not gotten back together but that they gave each other news from time to time.
In an interview with our colleagues from Le Figaro, the professional marble worker nevertheless revealed that even the friendly relationship was now broken… “Since then, our relationship has been peaceful and friendly, without ambiguity on my part. But since she saw the images of the assessment on M6, she no longer wants to speak to me, which I understand and regret”he indicated.
