As usual, Faustine Bollaert highlights the testimonies of French people who have experienced tragedies. This week, three celebrities came to speak on the set of It begins today. Sitting alongside journalist Jordan De Luxe and actor Gwendal Marimoutou, Yanis Marshall looked back on a dark part of his youth. The 34-year-old dancer then mentioned his complaint for “aggravated rape of a minor” against Bruno Vandelli, choreographer of the show Popstars and accused by five of his former students. Moved to tears, Yanis Marshall recounted being under the influence of the man when he was only 14 years old and how this tragedy still impacts his life today.

In January 2024, Yanis Marshall filed a complaint against Bruno Vandelli. The man allegedly subjected him to various sexual assaults and rapes while he was still a minor. Twenty years after the events, the former Star Academy professor explains that he finally found the courage to speak out. “I wouldn’t necessarily have spoken, I wasn’t necessarily going to do it because I was at the Star Academy, career-wise, things were going pretty well,” he testified on the set of It’s Beginning Today. Not ready at first, Yanis Marshall finally realized that he was missing something to feel truly happy. “What’s going on?” he asked. Despite a career as a dancer at the top – he says he worked, (…)
