Kad Merad is a passionate man. An actor for over thirty years, he is also a director and screenwriter. The man who shone in films such as Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, Superchondriaque and Marseille also owns a farm. He leads a life there far from stress and glitter. It is with his wife, Julia Vignali, that he takes full advantage of this life in the countryside. For Kad Merad, it's a dream come true: “I had an old dream in life that I was able to fulfill two years ago by actually buying an estate, a farm, in Burgundy. J “I have some land, I will have to exploit it and I plan to do livestock breeding”, he explained on the set of Quotidien, in April 2024.
The actor tries to collaborate with professionals from the agricultural world to manage his field as best as possible: “I work with farmers in the region who give me advice. It's work.” Kad Merad had confided that he wanted to turn to alpaca breeding: “Alpaca because I want to maybe work with wool, I don’t know yet”. For Julia Vignali's lover, this life on the farm is a return to his origins: “I grew up surrounded by land and agriculture so I know it very well.”
