The marathon election of regional misses is slowly coming to an end. This October 12, it was Assia Roosz-Tomenti who hit the jackpot by becoming Miss Lorraine. She will be a candidate for Miss 2025, next December.

Who is Assia Roosz-Tomenti, the new Miss Lorraine?

This Saturday, October 12, Assia Roosz-Tomenti was therefore elected Miss Lorraine 2024, in front of an audience gathered in the performance hall of the Amnéville zoo. She thus succeeded Angéline Aron-Clauss (whose regional costume in the style of a garnished table had sparked laughter and mockery last year on the evening of the final). Born in January 1999 in , the young beauty queen is 25 years old, measures 1.86m, and grew up in the region, in Val-de-, before returning to her native region three years ago. .

Based in Villerupt, in Meurthe-et- (near the border between France and Luxembourg), Assia Roosz-Tomenti today works as an entrepreneur, both in the field of personal services, but also in real estate. A real estate agent in Luxembourg, she also owns a home cleaning business.

Assia Roosz-Tomenti describes herself as a person “solar and kind” and intends to defend two primordial causes in his eyes during his year of reign: women’s rights, and “invisible mental pathologies such as depression.

The miss also intends to defend difference. Indeed, she has long been self-conscious about her large size and today wants to make it a strength, for herself and for others. “I suffered from it when I was young and still do today, but this difference is a strength and a source of pride. I carry this size with me and I might as well wear it well and represent it well”she declared following her election to Lorraine News.

And it’s up to her to continue: “It’s quite stupid but, when you’re big, you have to know that the infrastructure is not always suitable, especially public transport. On the bus, you have to bend down, the kitchens are standard… It’s all full of things in everyday life that remind us that we have a difference”. Before concluding: “It’s a strength to be different and these are values ​​that I want to defend”.
