Inspired by true events, this film addresses the opioid crisis, particularly heroin and fentanyl, with a touch of dark humor, exploring the ravages of addiction and its repercussions on family relationships.

In this deeply moving role, Emmanuel Bilodeau plays Bodo, a father battling a destructive addiction. His son Joel (played by Dakota Daulby) is documenting his journey in hopes of sparking change.

Tight Lettuce explores the difficult question of whether it’s better to confront a loved one or enjoy the time you have left with them despite the ravages of drug addiction.

His biggest challenge since René Levesque

For Bilodeau, this role is one of the most significant of his career: “It’s my biggest challenge since René Levesque! Bodo is a complex, energetic, eccentric, but deeply human character. It symbolizes hope for millions of people struggling with opioids.”

The film brings together an impressive cast, including Castel, Maxim Roy, Guy Jodoin et Didier Lucienalongside talents from Western Canada. Tight Lettuce should be on display in 2026.
