As expected, Léa Salame apologized on the set of “ What an era! », in the show broadcast this Saturday, May 4. The number being registered a few days earlier, rumors had announced this gesture. After a week of controversy and outburst on social networks, as in the media, it was the management of France Télévisions which allegedly asked the host to apologize on air. At the start of the show, while she presented her comrades, Christophe Dechavanne, Philippe Caverivière and Paul de Saint Sernin, she announced that she had made a resolution. “The floodgates, I’ll stop. I’ll leave them to you! I don’t know how to do it, and when you don’t know how to do it, you don’t do it. » she said.
She then clarified that she was talking about the little joke dropped on Artus, a guest on the talk show the previous week. While he announced that he had stopped drinking alcohol in order to better manage his anxieties, she replied to him: “Ah, you have become annoying…” The ex-columnist of Laurent Ruquier then explained that she had received many messages, going in both directions. “There were so many reactions between those who were shocked by my joke, those who were shocked by the extent of the reactions to this valve like: ‘Definitely, we can’t say anything more’. I was surprised since it really was a joke. And we all felt it was a joke, Artus too. And in no way an apology for alcohol. » she assured.

“But then it got me thinking. And we said with our team that in fact it posed a real question, it opened a real social debate, a substantive subject. » finally added Léa Salamé. Before moving on to the rest of the program, the journalist announced that the subject would be discussed in the evening, with Doctor Gérald Kierzek. Well known to France 2 viewers, this emergency doctor is also a columnist in “Télématin” and regularly speaks on the link between conviviality and alcohol consumption.
