Cédric Doumbè will soon film season 5 of the Amazon game, “LOL: Who laughs comes out”, among famous actors.
While the whole of France, at least those who love combat sports, awaits a possible rematch between Cédric Doumbé and “Baki”, six months after the first round between the two men and its improbable outcome, “The Best” has other projects before. Winner of the American Jaleel Willis at Bellator last May to move forward after “Splinter-Gate”, the Franco-Cameroonian will go behind the camera to somehow get closer to his dream of becoming an actor.
If there will not yet be a one-man show for Doumbè, he will be featured on one of the most followed programs on streaming platforms in France in recent years. The cast of season 5 of “LOL: Who laughs, get out!” », on Amazon, was in fact revealed this week and we find there the former multiple world champion of kickboxing turned MMA artist. Cédric Doumbè will be in the company of several renowned comedians and actors: Artus, Muriel Robin, Fred Testot, Camille Chamoux. Jérôme Niel, Fatou Kaba, Vincent Dedienne, Marina Rollman and Alexandre Kominek.
He has already participated in a reality TV
However, this will not be his debut in a game or in a filmed program. In 2020, when he was much less known than today, except for kickboxing fans, Doumbè participated in the reality TV show “The Circle”, where each candidate had their own apartment and communicated via a messaging service with others, without ever crossing paths until the end of the game, giving pride of place to impostors and fake profiles. Doumbè had played his own role, but was eliminated before the final.
The stakes are lighter this time, even if we imagine that Cédric Doumbè will try to win the game, which consists of making his partners laugh to eliminate them and be the last in line. The prize is a check for 100,000 euros for the association chosen by the player, probably one that fights domestic violence against women for Doumbè, a cause that is dear to him.
Once filming is over, speculation around the name of his next opponent and the prospect of facing “Baki” again will undoubtedly come back to the fore…
