A lady from the Laurentians made an incredible discovery while cleaning her garage: a winning ticket of $500,000 in the Lotto Max draw on August 13.
Sandra Turrin bought this ticket this summer at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on Boulevard Saint-Jacques, in Boisbriand.
When the lady from the Laurentians cleaned out her garage, she finally found it at the bottom of a grocery bag.
Before throwing it away, Mme Turrin had her ticket checked, only to discover that she had indeed won a $500,000 prize in the Lotto Max draw.
“I feel twice as lucky: I won and I found the ticket before its expiration date,” mentioned the winner when claiming her prize, we can read in the Loto-Québec press release, THURSDAY.
-Mme Turrin said she plans to use the amount to pay off part of her mortgage.
The deadline for claiming a ticket for drawing lotteries is one year from the drawing date written on the ticket, Loto-Québec said.
