The interior of future electric BMWs already revealed and there are changes!

For more than 10 years, CES in Las Vegas has been the perfect opportunity for automakers to unveil the technological treats that will feature in their future vehicles. In this vein we remember, in January 2014, the Virtual cockpit of the third version of the Audi TT on a 12.3-inch diagonal panel.

For the 2025 edition of the electronics show which will be held from January 7 to 11, BMW is at the forefront. The propeller brand is taking advantage of the North American event to present the dashboard of its future “Neue Klasse” models.

This will be the future iX3 electric SUV expected at the end of the year then the BMW i3, the electric version of the BMW 3 Series which will follow in 2026. Sleek, horizontal furniture characterized by a good-sized touch screen placed centrally between the driver and passenger, supplemented by a wide panoramic strip stretching at the bottom of the windshield, partly serves as instrumentation in front of the driver. The whole is completed by a head-up display. The multifunction steering wheel with a futuristic design including the hub that appears to be levitating being the final touch.

For the moment the brand does not indicate any dimensions simply specifying that it is a new ninth generation operating system. Additionally, customization of displays will be very important. With this technology, BMW will mark a new stage, breaking with the era of the curved slab currently in place in the range.

Furthermore, this new arrangement should flourish. Indeed, the Renault Scénic Vision prototype, which from spring 2022 foreshadowed the production version of the electric Renault Scénic E-Tech, also had a digital strip affixed to the base of the windshield. A technology that will cross the threshold of industrialization by 2027 in the diamond range.image
