The company Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Company Huafeng Weiyesubsidiary of the group China Power Construction Corporationannounced on December 17 the cancellation of the call for tenders for the project to acquire spare parts for the uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) as part of the operation and maintenance of the Jerada thermal power plant, with a capacity of 350 MW.

This decision “occurs due to changes in the requirements relating to the qualifications of tenderers making it necessary to revise the terms of the call for tenders”, we learned A new announcement will be published in the coming days, in accordance with current procedures, in order to relaunch the selection process.

This project, intended to ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of the Jerada power plant, is part of Sino-Moroccan cooperation efforts in the energy sector, particularly in terms of coal-based electricity production. The plant, operational for several years, constitutes a strategic infrastructure for the region, contributing to the energy stability of Morocco.
