Bugatti collaborates with Swiss watchmakers for Tourbillon instrument cluster
Bugatti collaborated with Swiss watchmakers to design the Tourbillon instrument group. This model embodies a “sense of mechanical timelessness”, particularly visible in its cabin. Although it recalls at first glance the Chiron with its central arrow and its imposing steering wheel, a major novelty stands out: the complex instrument cluster, the result of meticulous design and the know-how of Swiss watchmakers. The titanium room, weighing less than a kilogram, houses more than 600 coins and precious stones such as rubies and sapphires. Its construction requires tolerances of 5 to 50 microns (0.0002 to 0.002 inches), and its back is reinforced to support the central display. The main dial displays the speedometer and RPM indicator, with a lower digital display for gear selection. The dials work like clock hands, while on the left are the temperature, fuel and battery gauges. On the right, the power indicator of the 8.3-liter V16 hybrid engine, delivering 1,800 hp, completes this exceptional piece. Bugatti ensures optimal visibility of the gauges by providing the steering wheel with a fixed hub. The upper and lower spokes of the steering wheel extend behind the instrument cluster, providing a clear view of this remarkable piece. Bugatti’s goal was to create a timeless interior that would still be as attractive 100 years from now.

The instrument cluster, described as a work of art, is complemented by a retractable central screen on the dashboard, designed to prevent perceived obsolescence while preserving an analogue feel prized by supercar enthusiasts, such as underlined Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac. Deliveries of the Tourbillon will begin in 2026, with Bugatti producing only 250 examples of this exclusive model.
