The victim in the story, Angélique Croteau, is slowly starting to get over it, but does not excuse Mr. Potvin’s actions.
“This is not forgivable. It could have killed me, she exclaims. It could have killed someone else. That is not forgivable. It’s irresponsible.”
“Someone like me was touched by his stupidity, his ignorance,” she adds. I could have died. That wouldn’t have been forgivable either.”

“That day, she said on television that she forgave him. Angélique was on medication and Angélique has a big heart. But Angélique, when she suffers, she is far from forgiving, says Mr. Croteau. I don’t forgive him. Personally, I don’t forgive him.”
“It’s not forgivable,” the victim repeats.
Donations on the GoFundMe page opened by the victim’s father to help him have now reached more than $21,000.
