If there is one thing that is true on this earth, and that Trump’s re-election has taught us, it is that extremes feed off each other.
As long as there are wokes, there will be Trumpists.
As long as there are intellectuals who despise the people, there will be populists who despise intellectuals.
As long as there are black activists who claim that all white people are racist, there will be white supremacists who claim that all black people are inferior.
As long as there are feminists like Martine Delvaux who say that all men are oppressors, there will be masculinists like Andrew Tate who say that all women are idiots.
As long as the far left only speaks well of immigration, the hard right will only speak badly of it.
The cause and effects
As long as there are puritans who advocate censorship and the prohibition of certain words and expressions, there will be provocateurs who take pleasure in multiplying insults and profanity.
As long as there are ecologists who annoy motorists, there will be motorists who will send the ecologists away.
As long as there are people who want to open the borders to all winds, there will be people who want to close them.
As long as the LGBTQ movement advocates that there are no biological differences between men and women, there will be biological men and biological women who want nothing to do with the LGBTQ movement.
As long as there are young people who think that the old people should move away, there will be old people who say that the young people are taking up too much space.
As long as progressives want to make a clean sweep of the past, conservatives will say: “It was better before!”
As long as believers try to impose their religion everywhere, citizens will want it to be nowhere.
The more universities are woke, the more non-graduates will be wary of academics.
The arsonist firefighters
The less transparent the state is, the more people believe that things are being hidden from them, and the more popular conspiracy theorists gain.
The more the State taxes its citizens, the more citizens try to evade taxes.
The more the State grants privileges to certain communities under the pretext of fighting discrimination and encouraging living together, the more people feel resentful towards these communities and the less well living together is doing.
The more traditional media always lean on the same side (i.e. to the left), the less people trust them, the more they turn to social media for information, the more they become radicalized and the more journalists who work in traditional media believe they are obliged to lean even further to the left to “fight” this radicalization that they themselves have caused.
Action/reaction.
It is the oldest movement in the world.
One wonders if the far left is not doing everything in its power to feed the far right in order to prove its importance and relevance.
After all, what would Batman be without the Penguin?
