Bizanos: the market will celebrate summer this Thursday

The icing on the cake, throughout the morning, it will allow you to leave the market with numerous lots offered directly by traders. All you have to do is prick up your ears to answer his questions.

The editorial team advises you

41 children from the La Ronde des Oussons nursery (14 children) and the middle section class (27 children) from the Bizanos nursery school will come in two stages (before 10 a.m. and after) to discover the flavors of the market. The Bizanos town hall will offer each child a vegetable or flower plant. The Bizanos nursery school will use the donated flower plants to plant them in its planters as part of a courtyard landscaping project.

Every Thursday

For two years, the town hall square in Bizanos has welcomed, every Thursday, around twenty street vendors, most of whom are short-circuit producers. There is a family atmosphere there which enlivens their relationships. They enjoy being together.

Four of them offer ready-made take-away meals at home with a choice of: paella, sauerkraut, Indian specialties, Thai dishes. To fill your basket with good, tempting and healthy food, here again, you are spoiled for choice: farmhouse cheeses direct from a goat farm in Aubertin with Clara Urcudoy and sheep from Haut-de-Bosdarros with Estelle from the Duboé farm.

Mika and Jess from the small farm in Lombia provide charcuterie, chistorras, chipolatas, pork, veal and beef. To be enjoyed without forgetting to sauce with the artisanal bread from L’Ami des pains de Lons which offers a multitude of varieties as well as pastries which recall the old smell of a real slice of bread.

To find flavor on your plate, no better than Jérémy and his organic vegetables, some of which come from ancient varieties (mizuna, wild garlic, squash and other wonders). It also sells organic olive oil and eggs. Its potatoes work wonders mashed with Guérande or Salies-de-Béarn salt.

Traveling tea room

And because we are very close to the Atlantic coast, Sandrine supplies Bizanos with pure fresh fish and seafood while offering dishes cooked from the sea. And for those who have a sweet tooth, the flower cakes from Sweet and Smile (floral cupcake). Hervé, directly from his Spanish farm Anagarcia, produces quality olive oil, bagged almonds, and black olive pâté, or even with Alonso who sells oils and honey from Spain.

Other stands offer women’s clothing (“Esmé”), market gardening plants and arrangements and flowers (Chez Constance, garden center in Assat). There is also Joseph who offers careful and quality work for the maintenance of the garden and trees but also who carries out high pressure cleaning (woodwork, facades, roofs, anti-moss) but also Jean-Marc, grinder and sharpener which also offers handmade baskets.

From July 24, a traveling tea room on an electric scooter offering quality coffees and teas (Pau’s Café) joins the small market family. He will offer his barista services accompanied by homemade sweets such as brownies, financiers, cakes, or others.
