Ecobank Group has launched the 2024 edition of its popular Fintech Challenge competition, offering a $50,000 prize to the winner. This competition, open to African fintech startups, aims to encourage innovation in the financial sector and promote financial inclusion across the continent.
The Ecobank Fintech Challenge offers startups the opportunity to become pan-African service partners within the Ecobank banking ecosystem. Participants will also have access to Ecobank’s pan-African banking sandbox, allowing them to test and improve their products with the bank’s advanced APIs. Additionally, selected fintechs will have priority access to Ecobank’s venture capital partners to explore financing opportunities.
Applications for the competition are open to fintechs and developers from all African countries, as well as global fintechs focused on Africa. Interested parties can submit their applications until July 21, 2023. The competition, designed in partnership with international consulting firm Konfidants, aims to discover talents who can support Ecobank’s mission to remain bold and innovative, by promoting pan-African prosperity.
Since its inception, Ecobank’s Fintech Challenge has enabled several participants to partner with the bank to launch innovative products in various African markets. This competition plays a crucial role in transforming the digital landscape in Africa and promoting financial inclusion.
