The General Manager of an independent hotel is responsible for supervising all operations of the establishment. This includes managing personnel, finances, sales and marketing, as well as maintaining customer satisfaction and quality of services. Its main objective is to ensure an exceptional guest experience while respecting quality standards and achieving the hotel’s financial objectives.

In this capacity his/her missions are to:

PRODUCT AND SERVICE QUALITY:

– Oversee all hotel operations, including accommodation, catering, spa services, leisure facilities, etc. ;

– Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, improve profitability and maintain competitiveness in the market;

– Ensure that you are surrounded by an operational, competent team, trained in hotel standards;

– Ensure that norms and standards are systematically updated, implemented and practiced in order to have a high level of service;

– Ensure high levels of hygiene by introducing HACCP;

– Preserve the competitiveness of the establishment by introducing new ideas and encouraging its team;

– Build customer loyalty through daily contacts aimed at evaluating the services provided and customer satisfaction.

HUMAN RESSOURCES :

– Participate directly in the selection and recruitment of personnel;

– Evaluate employee performance through permanent controls;

– Ensure the implementation of training programs for employees based on deficiencies observed during services and monitor customer feedback;

– Create a pleasant working atmosphere and encourage team spirit;

– Comply with applicable laws and country regulations.

FINANCE :

– Develop and implement annual budgets and business plans to achieve the hotel’s financial objectives;

– Control the management of the various departments under his authority;

– Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize profitability;

– Learn about changing market situations to ensure the best possible results without compromising customer returns.

HYGIENE & SAFETY:

– Ensure that hygiene, fire and safety procedures are correctly applied and controlled;

– Encourage the best standards to preserve the environment;

– Be aware of the latest operating, product development and marketing trends benefiting the hotel in the long term;

– Ensure that you are the guarantor of internal policies and general and local procedures;

– Ensures the proper maintenance of the hotel and asset management;

– Etc.

Candidate Profile

Holder of a university degree in hotel management, business administration or a related field, you have significant professional experience of ten (10) years in the hospitality sector, including in management positions.

You have demonstrated skills in leadership, taking initiative, problem solving and priority management.

You have in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, market trends and best practices. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is essential.
