Packaged in 400 g trays, this GAST brand product was sold in butchers, but also by the Intermarché, Spar, Grossistes, Auchan, Carrefour, Proxi and Vival brands. The sauerkraut was on the shelves from October 10 to 16, 2024. It is referenced with the barcodes (GTIN): 3411320100092 or 3411320100344. The batch concerned is 24283. The different use-by dates run from October 31 to November 6, 2024. .

A product to be destroyed or returned to the store

As stated Consumption reminderthe cabbage and the accompanying garnish should no longer be eaten, at the risk of catching listeriosis, “an illness which can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks”. People who have already eaten it and who present “fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body aches” must consult a doctor and inform him of this consumption. “Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms,” alerts the government site.
