Water stress issues were at the heart of the final regional Hydrostartup bootcamp in Drâa-Tafilalet. Three projects, considered the most innovative, were rewarded by the jury.

How does the Hydrostartup Drâa-Tafilalet bootcamp contribute to innovation in water resources management?
The Drâa-Tafilalet Hydrostartup Bootcamp is an initiative that is fully in line with the royal guidelines which continue to emphasize the importance of innovating in the management of water resources, a crucial issue for the future. This is why we created this space for exchange and training, allowing young entrepreneurs to think about innovative solutions to water scarcity, while relying on new technologies. Also, I remind you that this Draa-Tafilalet Bootcamp is a first step in a series of regional Bootcamps aimed at supporting 15,000 entrepreneurs and falling within the framework of entrepreneurship promotion and support services provided by the ‘ANAPEC.

How did the competition for innovative ideas take place?
The Bootcamp took place in two phases. Initially, 145 participants followed an intensive three-day training course, organized in each province in the region. Thanks to the support of entrepreneurship experts, they were able to structure their ideas and access tools to develop their projects. Subsequently, 29 projects were selected to participate in a regional Bootcamp, where participants received additional support to finalize the technical aspects of their projects, including the development of MVPs (minimum viable products).

What are the expected benefits of this initiative?
The closing of the event rewarded the three most innovative projects, which will benefit from personalized support. This support includes mentoring sessions, specialized training workshops, and prototyping support to bring their ideas to life in the field. We are very proud of this first regional initiative, which marks a turning point in encouraging innovation and promoting sustainable solutions to water stress.
