Free has chosen not to offer a dual-play offer. Its entry level, the Freebox Revolution Light, offers a single price of €29.99/month, and therefore includes two pieces of equipment:
- a modem: the “Freebox Revolution Server”, to have a very high speed fiber connection up to 1 Gb/s, distributed via Wi-Fi 5 (ac), and unlimited telephony to landlines in France and around a hundred countries;
- an HD decoder: the “Player Revolution” with integrated Blu-ray player and 250 GB hard drive, to have access to 230 TV channels and the OQEE Ciné streaming platform and its catalog of 500 film and series titles. As a bonus, the Free Ligue 1 application is included, something to delight football fans, and the Cafeyn application (the digital press kiosk) is free for 3 months.
The Freebox Pop brought up to date
It costs €29.99/month for one year, then increases by €10: that’s the Freebox Pop, and this mid-range offer is well worth the competition’s Premium subscriptions. In fact, its fiber speed can reach up to 5 Gb/s shared for downloading and 700 Mb/s for sending. And like its big sister the Freebox Ultra, here it is now equipped in Wi-Fi 7 dual band for wireless connection, with repeaters of the same technology if necessary.
This is enough to stream in ultra high definition, so we change the decoder to the Free 4K TV Player. He is compatible with HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos sound. And he embarks Google’s voice assistant. So to take advantage of it, Free has decided to add as much entertainment as possible in addition to the previous offer:
- 3 months of free access to Canal+, the live channel, an exclusivity not found elsewhere,
- 6 months of free access to Prime Video,
- And 3 months of free access to Disney+ and its 6 universes, from Marvel to Star Wars, including Pixar and National Geographic.
And don’t worry about missing out on your favorite show, as available recording hours go from 40 to 100 hours.
