How about going to sweat in a sauna 90 meters underground or perched on a Ferris wheel? In the Nordic countries, some companies promise their customers a “special experience”.
There is no longer any doubt about the craze for the 2000-year-old practice. So much so that saunas are opening in unusual places.
Relax underground…
“It’s not just a sauna. It’s a special experience with nature,” promises Daniel Karlsson, CEO of “Adventure Mine”. At a depth of 90 meters, under the Bergslagen region (central Sweden), a small cabin welcomes customers in an old iron mine. The best? They can then dive into the turquoise water of an underground lake.
or overlooking the city?
In Helsinki, on the contrary, the sauna rises in height in a Ferris wheel. The session in one of the cabins costs 235 to 340 francs.
“We can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people. And the views are more fun,” says the manager.
