The eldest didn’t just win a million dollars. He also received a $5,000 gift card from Tanguay. This same gift was given to the eight other finalists of the traditional Million Sale competition organized by the Quebec company.
It was originally the purchases of a GE stove and a BEST kitchen hood that allowed Mr. Genest to be in the running for the draw, as were thousands of other customers. When the winner was finally announced on Saturday morning, the tension and excitement that hovered in the studio subsided and joy took hold of the heart of the Normandinois.
Mr. Genest assured that he would benefit from the amount as a family, with his son and his wife. He thus wants to take care of his family and enjoy the beautiful moments of life. The president of Tanguay, Charles Tanguay, gave a short speech while presenting him with the prize.

We are grateful to our loyal customers who have supported us for over 60 years and especially during the 20 editions of the Million Sale. Every year, it’s always exciting for us to give away a million dollars in cash and see it be won,” said the businessman.
