A new ranking reveals that Asia has the cleanest airports in the world based on factors such as the cleanliness of seats and toilets.

The 10 cleanest airports in the world have been announced, and only one hub in Europe is on the list.
In fact, the ranking is almost exclusively composed of Asian airports, with the exception of Zurich in Switzerland, which occupies tenth place.
The study was conducted by airline rating organization Skytrax as part of its World Airport Awards.
Here are the cleanest airports in the world and what qualified them for this award.
Japan lands four of the top ten spots on Skytrax’s list
The airport Haneda from Tokyo ranked first ascleanest airport in the world.
SkyTrax praised the cleanliness of the floors, seats, common areas and toilets. In a post-COVID world, this is extremely important, the organization says.
“ As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, airport cleanliness standards have become much more important to customers,” says Skytrax. “Airports that meet these highest standards feature highly in the best airport cleanliness results. »
Haneda has largely led the way, not only globally but also in Japan.
In fact, the Asian nation occupies four places on the list of ten, with Centrair Nagoya in fifth place, Tokyo Narita in sixth and Kansai in seventh.
Outside of Japan, but still in Asia, Seoul Incheonin South Korea, took second place and Singapore Changi ranked third.
Doha Hamad took fourth place, while Hong Kong and Taiwan Taoyuan took eighth and ninth places respectively.
Only non-Asian airport, the Swiss city of Zurich, completed the list.
Which airports are the cleanest by region?
The Skytrax awards also recognized theairport the cleanest in each region, Zurich naturally ranking at the top of the list in all of Europe.
Tokyo Haneda won the prize forAsia And Doha Hamad won the prize for Middle East.
In the Americas, the main North American terminal was Vancouver in Canadathat of Quito in Ecuador in South America and the cleanest airport from Central America and the Caribbean was assigned to Juan Santamaria from Costa Rica.
In Africa, The cap took first place, Brisbane won for the region Australia/Pacific And Shanghai Hongqiao won the victory for the China.
The Azerbaijani Baku won in Central Asia And Bengaluru was chosen by Skytrax for India and South Asia.
2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the flagship awardswhich are based on customer satisfaction surveys conducted in more than 570 airports worldwide.
