China’s logistics sector recovered in the first quarter of the year, according to an industry report.
From January to March, social logistics grew 5.9 percent year-on-year at comparable prices to 88 trillion yuan (about $12.4 trillion), according to the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation.

The growth rate is 2 percentage points higher than that reported during the same period last year, the federation said, adding that China’s logistics sector is recovering.
More precisely, logistics for industrial products, that for personal consumption and that for imported goods increased by 6%, 11.6% and 5.5% respectively.
During the first quarter, the industry’s revenue totaled 3.1 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5 percent year-on-year.
