This program aims to stimulate the development of the national startup ecosystem by challenging participants on three specific themes: Agritech, Cleantech and Greentech, indicates a press release from IncuBooster.

The first “Innova Green” edition is divided into four main phases, namely a two-day Innovation Hackathon on the StartGate campus of UM6P in Benguerir, a presence at the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) in Meknes, offering conferences, professional meetings and networking opportunities and training and coaching workshops for participants, the press release specifies.

Support in carrying out the POC (proof of concept) and in fundraising processes is also planned, we add.

The call for projects sparked interest in six Moroccan regions, with 20 projects selected for the Hackathon which was held on April 20 and 21, 2024. Following this event, five innovative projects were chosen by a jury of experts, three additional projects, designated “Favorites” by the jury, will also benefit from reinforced support from Incubooster, including the development of management tools, the creation of business plans and access to resources such as research laboratories to demonstrate the achievement of a POC.

The selected projects will also be supported in raising financing and directed towards Tamwilcom partner incubation structures. The partnership established between the CRI Fès-Meknes and the UM6P will support these eight promising projects, by offering them access to an extensive network of partners as well as to the various support and financing programs offered by the two institutions, notes the same Source.
