Their names are Guillaume and Julien Martagon. These two brothers import classic cars from America and all of Europe that they pamper before reselling them. In their 900 m² garage, we find exceptional vehicles, which will travel through time.
Cars from another era
In their garage, Guillaume and Julien have set up a showroom and a workshop to work on different American pickups, a convertible Mustang (estimated at 55,000 euros), a 1973 Apal buggy (worth 30,000 euros) and Beetles. Not forgetting a few motorbikes. They also have among their vehicles a Gurgel XTC from 1974 (25,000 euros). According to one of the managers, “she should be successful in the Arcahchon basin”. Created in only 2000 copies, it must be said that it has everything to please the inhabitants of the French coast.
Importing exceptional vehicles and reselling them has become a real passion for the Martagon brothersalways in search of the rare pearl. According to SudOuest.fr, they retrained for their love of this profession. It was in 2021 that they opened a garage in Gironde, called Cactus Collection, and they got their hands on Porches 911s, Beetles, BMW E30s, Ford Mustangs… and many other cars.
A passion lived as a family
Now, they have their garage in Préchac in South Gironde. There is a workshop there, where repairs are carried out, but also “import expertise for exceptional vehicles on request, a free consignment for pleasure vehicles or even a storage area for vintage cars. »
The Martagon brothers also have a 700 m² showroom with around twenty vehicles, rather affordable, at prices around 16,000 euros for convertibles (1961 Beetle, 1967 Ford Mustang, 1977 Puma GT 1600, 1970 Ford pick-up, etc.)
According to Guillaume Martagon, business is good : “We take the time to process our files carefully, we sell around one vehicle per week. We offer general mechanical services on vehicles purchased from us but we also work on external vehicles depending on their condition or breakdown. »
Previously, Guillaume and Julien were executives in mass distribution and aeronautics. But with a father who loved racing, the two brothers were immersed in the world of automobiles and changed direction to return to their first loves.
