The Marrakech military air base will host, from October 30 to November 2, 2024, the 7th edition of the Marrakech Airshow (MAS), one of the most prestigious aeronautical events in Africa.
Since its launch in 2008, this international exhibition dedicated to aeronautics and space, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the National Defense Administration and MEDZ, a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et de gestion, has grown in strength over the years and has shown continuous growth, demonstrating its appeal and Morocco’s positioning as a global aeronautical industrial platform.
The country’s strategic location, coupled with its world-class infrastructure and investment in technology, makes it an essential regional hub for the aerospace and defense industry, a statement from the organizers said.
“Upon High Royal Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Marrakech Air Show has established itself as a unique platform for exchange and collaboration for players in the global aeronautics industry,” underlines the same source, noting that this new edition promises to be even richer in new features and business opportunities.
“Thanks to the Royal vision, a strong aeronautical industry has developed over the last 20 years, offering today an incredible potential of opportunities to global players in the sector,” notes the document, explaining that today there are more than 147 companies established in Morocco, creating more than 20,000 jobs and an integration rate of 40%, among the highest in the world.
This year, the show will see unprecedented participation with 12,500 m2 of exhibitions, 300 exhibitors, more than 75 official delegations, spectacular aerial demonstrations, a dynamic exhibition and a program rich in high-level conferences dealing with emerging trends and current and future challenges in the sector, reports MAP.
This edition will place particular emphasis on innovation and new technologies, with a space dedicated to start-ups and research projects. The challenges of energy transition and sustainable mobility will also be at the heart of the debates.
