Organized for the fourth consecutive year by the National Book Center (CNL) at the suggestion of the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the pleasure of reading, Reading Nights are back from January 23 to 26, 2025.
The writer Maylis de Kerangal and the journalist Stéphane Bern will be the godmother and godfather of the 9th edition of Reading nightsfocused on the theme “heritage”.
During four exceptional days and four nightsit is in a creative and sharing spirit that thousands of events will be planned throughout France and beyond its borders. This great back-to-school cultural event, punctuated with highlightswill be an opportunity to offer meetings and events in libraries, bookstores, but also in schools, theaters, museums, cultural and artistic places, associative and solidarity spaces, prison structures, French Institutes and, of course, heritage sites, thus reaffirming the essential place of books and reading for everyone.
-During the previous edition, these were almost 8,500 events in 4,000 locations which were thus organized.
