Tired of seeing your Books gathering dust? Of old books clutter your shelves? But you don’t have the heart to throw them away. Then the solution proposed in Seine-et-Marne by Elise Sud Francilien, in partnership with Recyclivre should interest you.
Created in 2008, Recyclivre is one of the leading French players in second-hand books on the Internet with more than 10 million books sold.
A new book collection offer
Part of its turnover is donated to associative partners, for a total of more than 3.5 million euros since its creation. Elise Sud Francilien, based in Vaux-le-Pénil since 2014, combines environmental protection and professional integration of people in a situation of handicap thanks to its office sorting, collection and recovery services, as well as the destruction of confidential documents. Today, Elise Sud Francilien recycles more than 700 tonnes of waste per year.
Committed to the valorization of office wasteElise Sud Francilien wanted to develop her activity by including the recovery of second-hand books. She therefore approached Recyclivre and took advantage of the expertise of this committed player. By launching the collection of books at home, Elise Sud Francilien allows individuals to find a solution to dispose of their stock of books and offer them a new opportunity for use.
If you live in Vaux-le-Pénil or in a neighboring town, you can schedule a collection of your used books at your home, from 500 pounds. Depositing works is always possible directly on the Pénivaux site. The books are then sorted in order to be resold at a low price on the Recyclivre website.
“Giving a second life to books in terms of reuse, donations or recycling is an activity which encourages good practices and prevents a large quantity of these cultural objects from ending up in landfill, incineration or worse in landfill,” recalls Virginie Couëdel. , co-manager of Elise Sud Francilien. We are delighted with this partnership,”

Interest in this service is growing so much that ELISE Sud Francilien has just hired a person with a disability on a permanent contract on a 24-hour/week contract. But how do you give away your second-hand books?
