This is already the 40th edition of the Show books and youth press in Seine-Saint-Denis, which is a real reading festival every year, and whose doors will open in on November 27, and until December 2. We will celebrate there General dream, and the opening day of the Salon will also be that of the nomination of the winners of the famous Nuggets, the Salon prizes. Among these potential Nuggets, here are three.

The one who remainsby Rachel Corenblit, illustrated by Régis Lejonc. This title is part of the collection Always running from Nathan editions. A collection which offers texts for 15-25 year olds, to be read in less than an hour, and which can also be listened to in audio version. The one who remains revisits the myth of Antigone and of course invites you to read the plays of Sophocles and Anouilh!

For 10-12 year olds, and in this beautiful selection of Pépites, there is notably Alexander on the wavesby Vincent Cuvellier, with illustrations by Guillaume Bianco, a novel to read from Little Urban editions.

The story begins in , in the 1920s. A young orphan, Alexandre, who does not intend to end his life in the slaughterhouses where he was put to work, decides to leave for the Americas. We readers take us alongside him on this great journey, to follow his adventures, even his misadventures.

In terms of writing and drawings, it's fresh as one would imagine for a crossing of the Atlantic, it's full of humor and really written for children, with explanations on the historical context and summaries that fall on point!
