Philosopher André Comte-Sponville, the editorialist Franz-Olivier Giesbertthe actress and author Évelyne Dress… This year again, the Granville book fair, “Granville se livre”, will welcome distinguished guests.

See you on Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14, 2024, for an edition rich in literature and activities!

The big names not to be missed

This year, Granville is going to receive more than fifty authors books intended for adults and children alike.

You probably know some of them, and you will discover others. Among the names that may ring a bell, we think of the children’s author for J’apprends à lire, Marion Fallot; the authors Grégoire Delacourt and Julie Wolkenstein ; to the great reporter, Claude Ardid; to the winner of the 1991 Renaudot Prize, And Franck;to the winner of the Prix Goncourt for the first novel in 2010, Laurent Binet; Laurent Joffrin, former journalist at CNEWS; or again, to Jean-François Kahn former director of the Marianne newspaper…

The famous André Comte-Sponville, Franz-Olivier Giesbert and Évelyne Dress will also be there.

Musical nap, reading for a drink… Activities not to be missed

But Granville opens up, it’s not just meetings with writers, it’s also a bunch of activities that will take place over two days, all over the city.

Literary napsare scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Maguie’s, with “a lovely collection of audio poems, Rimbaud, La Fontaine, Ronsard, Victor Hugo in a chill atmosphere and deckchairs “in the shade of the Tilia “.

The La Rafale bar invites you to come read a passage from a book in your library5 to 7 minutes, with as a reward a free drink after your reading. Saturdays and Sundays, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (register via the email address indicated below)

Interviews and round tableswill also take place at the Granville lounge and media library.
