Authors from the Ottawa-Gatineau region Andrée Poulin, Katia Canciani, Pierre-Luc Bélanger and Claudia Lahaie, among others, will be present to sign their most recent “babies” and meet their audience.
The literary event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is not only open to the public, but free. Around fifteen writers are expected there.

Mélissa Balthazar, Karyne Lavoie, Martine Labonté-Chartrand, Marc Couture, Grégoire Laforce, Natacha Bélair, Claudia Lahaie, Claire Lauzier-Deschênes, Francine Beaudin, Alberte Villeneuve, Ariane Millette and Amy Lachapelle will join them there.
Four authors – Andrée Poulin, Éric Pladeau, Claudia Lahaie and Mélissa Balthazar – will have met the Béatrice-Desloges schoolchildren the day before to talk about their literary creations.
Josée Rivard, visual arts teacher at the Academy of Arts at the Béatrice-Desloges school and comic artist in her spare time, will lead two short workshops around the creation of comic book characters (Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., then from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. registrations here).

The high school invites visitors to contribute to its collection of non-perishable foods and used French-language children’s books.
