The 4e volume of Seasons (Hugo Roman), the unpublished saga of Morgane Moncomblewritten and published in nine months, is no exception to the rule and, upon its release, rose to the top of the GFK Top 20/Books Weekly. While the previous opus, A spring to succumb to you, has exceeded 90,000 sales since its publication on March 20, the first, An autumn to forgive you, exceeded 175,000 copies sold after its publication on September 20. This final volume sold in four days almost twice as much as number two in the ranking, volume 21 of the adventures of Mortelle Adèle, which benefited from a week of sales.

The popess of French romance

In A summer to find you, The last 350-page volume of the saga, the 28-year-old novelist recounts the romantic adventures of Jasmine, wedding planner, with Andrea Moretti, eternally single, on the roads of Tuscany. The high priestess of French romance thus closes its four seasons in a period where romance continues to crush the shelves. This Thursday, June 27, its publisher Hugo Publishing, leader in the sector, is launching, in collaboration with the Reworld Media press group, New Romance, a quarterly magazine with an ambitious distribution of 100,000 copies for this first 90-page issue.

At the same time, the number two in this market, which represents some six million books sold in 2023, BMR (Hachette), has opened a pop-up bookstore in partnership with Fnac in Paris to sell pages of romance before the beach and its romances.
