A springboard for youth audiovisual adaptation. The annual Shoot the Book! Jeunesse returns to the Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse (SLPJ) in Montreuil for the third consecutive year. This program, dedicated to the promotion of children's literature for audiovisual adaptation projects, takes on a special dimension this year, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the SLPJ.
An enriched edition
From the morning of November 28, a pitching session will present 12 literary works (read below), selected by an interprofessional jury, to a panel of producers. The works were chosen for their strong narrative and visual potential.
This will be followed by B2B meetings between publishers and producers to explore adaptation opportunities. More than 40 publishers will present works ranging from early childhood to young adults, from 80 different editorial brands.

A selection for a demanding audience
With 70 applications examined and a jury made up of publishing and audiovisual figures such as Régine Hatchondo (CNL) or Stephanie Gerthoffet (TF1), this initiative highlights the dynamism and creativity of French youth publishing.
Shoot the Book! Jeunesse confirms its role as an essential bridge between the world of books and the screen, while the Scelf platform must be launched at the same time to better link the two cultural industries. The latter will present from November 27 more than 4,000 literary references identified as adaptable by publishers, intended for producers who will have access to the platform supported by the CNL by subscription.
