The Saint-Amandoise printing company CPI Bussière offered the Lignier schoolchildren of Philibert-Lautissier a book, the fruit of their work over the year on the book chain.

The fourth and fifth grade classes at the Philibert-Lautissier Lignière college, around a hundred students, have participated, since September, in a project to discover professions “around the book chain”.

Visit to the printing press and meetings

Tuesday afternoon, they received a visit from François Guillaume, director of the Digital Printing Professions Training Center, at the CPI Bussière printing company located in Saint-Amand-Montrond, who came to give them 140 copies of the book from their work.

“It is thanks to him that the students were able to discover, during a visit to the printing press, the professions in the book chain,” indicates Nathalie Mauguin, principal. During this project, part of the Future Career Discovery Journey, we also welcomed a novelist, Nathalie Pessin, a woman craftsman-art bookbinder, the head of a Press House and that of a library. .

The middle school students also worked with several teachers (librarian, technology, English, French, visual arts).

Illustrations

“The fourth grades wrote fantastic short stories in English and the fifth grades, tales in French, for which they also created illustrations,” she adds.

François Guillaume highlighted the “good behavior” of the students during their visit to the printing house and their commitment. “This is why our director agreed to print and offer you your book, in the hope that the discovery of our professions can, perhaps, spark a few vocations.”
