The Foyer rural has scheduled the Show for November 24, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Camp Grand hall, near Lac des Homps.
This is the realization of a partnership with the Atomics BD bookstore in Albi and Yucca Editions in Carmaux. All day long you will discover more than 40 authors, illustrators, designers, writers, publishers, booksellers, amateurs or professionals. There will be book signings, association stands, exhibitions, activities…
Vent Terral editions, based in Valence d'Albigeois, will celebrate their 50th anniversary. They define themselves: “In Langue d'Oc, it is the wind of the earth: sonorous echo of the calls and murmurs of men, of the noise of trades and the rumor of activities, memory of the spaces crossed.
It is an Occitan cultural association born in 1973 in Ségala, an initiative of authors wishing to experience the adventure of creation there, at the meeting of genres and languages.
It is a bias of roots and openness, through production without borders, from Germany to Afghanistan, from Israel to the Maghreb, from Gascony to Auvergne, through research, creation and writing, the development of educational materials and public or school events.
A publishing house which, thanks to everyone's involvement, has enabled the publication of more than 150 titles: poetry, novels, stories, short stories, essays, linguistics, history, philosophy, etc. Celebrating 50 years of existence is an unusual feat that deserves to be saluted. They will be the guests of honor at the Show.
They will present their association, their numerous editions, display an exhibition and host a round table. With the Bullolac Salon, the aim is to provide popular education, to promote artistic and cultural creation in rural areas and to meet the public.
It is also about practicing interculturality and creating social links between generations, associations, artists, publishers and booksellers. This event is aimed at all audiences: children, adults, book and comic book enthusiasts and professionals, networks of primary schools, middle schools, high schools, Children and Youth organizations, etc. The partners are the town hall, the Departmental Council, the Community of Communes of Carmausin Ségala, the Departmental Federation of Rural Homes of Tarn (FDFR Tarn).
