The municipality organized its first book fair which could have been disrupted by the Cévennes episode. The rain fell this Saturday but curiosity and a thirst for culture were stronger than the bad weather, visitors came in numbers. Twenty-five regional authors, of all styles, presented novels, detective stories, fantasy, children's literature, general public comics, and poetry. Four of them are from the village. The children of the Georges Brassens school, led by their director Audeline Dusfour, provided a surprising wall decoration consisting of a parietal art fresco and various hand paintings. The La Bottega food truck delighted the invited authors as well as fans of Italian cuisine and provided the opportunity for a slowdown in exchanges conducive to a spontaneous musical interlude: Curtis Ridel, Fred Bologsen and Bernard Dreams, three of the authors, took take turns on the microphone and the guitar to perform a song each. This unexpected moment in a book fair was greeted by the assembly present. Finally, a free raffle, offered by the municipality, allowed 6 visitors to win works by writers present, half of whom offered their Books. Aurore Fernandes, author of novels, from Alignan-du-Vent, declared to Marie-Aude Sicard, deputy mayor in charge of culture: “I have never participated in such a friendly show, you have set the bar very high.”
