For the 6e consecutive year, Weekly Books and Sofia organized the Grand Prix Weekly Books bookstores. Awarded by an interprofessional jury chaired this year by the former Minister of Culture Rima Abdul-Malakthis prize distinguishes independent French-speaking bookstores of all types and sizes which offer particularly effective and innovative services.
This 6e edition will have brought together nearly 150 applications from independent bookstores around the world. More than 800 book professionals came together to elect the Booksellers of the Year 2024.
A special feature in the next issue of Livres Hebdo
The winning creations will be the subject of a special report in our issue LH The Magazine dated July-August and the winners will be invited to share their winning practices during masterclasses on the YouTube channel Weekly Books.
The winner of the Grand Prize was awarded 5,000 euros by Sofia during the award ceremony on June 16 in Strasbourg.
