The Tunisian publishing house “Miskiliani” was honored with the prestigious prize of “Best Arab Publishing House 2024” during the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, taking place from November 6 to 17. This award underlines the growing place of Tunisian publishing on the international scene.
Chawki Al-Anzi, founder of Miskiliani, stressed that this distinction is a recognition of Tunisian skills and talents in the field of publishing. “It is a reward for the traditions of Tunisian publishing and for the professionals who have contributed to the growth of the house since its creation,” he declared. He also specified that the house is based on local skills, between Tunisian writers, translators and publishers, and is distinguished by its concern for the quality of both the content and the material production of the book.
This distinction coincides with the success of “Alfoussayfissaï”, a novel by Moroccan writer Issa Nasiri published by Miskiliani, which won the 2024 World Arab Novel Prize. The text, submitted to careful revision by a Tunisian team, was thus demonstrated the excellence of the publishing house.
With more than 24 awards won over the last three years, Miskiliani continues its path towards internationalization, strengthening its partnerships with global publishers. Chawki Al-Anzi confirmed that these distinctions help to promote the house’s books and ensure their translation into other languages.
