On November 9, Jordan Bardellapresident of the National Rally, will publish a book. Published by Éditions Fayard, the work was recently at the heart of a controversy after the SNCF announced that advertising the work would not be possible in its stations due to the principle of “political neutrality”.
A few days after this controversy, several independent bookstores announced that they would not sell Jordan Bardella’s book because the work did not correspond to the values of their establishment. Among these booksellers, we find the “L’ombre du vent” bookstore located in Niort, France Bleu reported.
A choice made by the bookstore
Not presenting the work of Jordan Bardella is natural for this bookstore who does not wish to present works that are in contradiction with the “humanist values” of the bookstore.
If for the moment, only the bookstore L’Ombre du vent has announced that it will not exhibit the book by the president of the National Rally, its owner has announced that other bookstores in Niort could follow.
