For 15 years, within the Millavon charity association To All Heartsa group of local history enthusiasts work to preserve and transmit our heritage. Initially focused on Millavois, these amateur historians are now expanding their work to our entire department.
Their approach may seem paradoxical: rediscovering the colors of the past to make it closer while highlighting the most surprising contrasts of time. But does this visual proximity not allow us to construct a more detailed knowledge of this bygone time, both so close and so far from our contemporary society?
The author of this new opus, Cedric Cadauxinvites us to a “butterfly”, to a stroll through discoveries and encounters. So, let's not deprive ourselves of the pleasure of sharing the daily life of our ancestors, let's find their beautiful images of yesteryear, let's listen to their words left on the back of the postcards, let's reread their diaries…
