It is an innovation intended to make the book a performance tool. The Circle of Business Book Authors is organizing a first dedicated fair which will take place on Saturday at the Saint-Côme hotel of the CCI Hérault in . Interview with Florian Mantione who is at the origin.

You are organizing the first business book fair, why and what is it?

To bring the book into the company. This involves encouraging employees to read company books so that they can improve. And if they improve, the business will improve. These are books on management, human resources, personal development, stress management, etc.

Who will we find at this show?

We will have 55 authors, which is a lot. We will find Mohed Altrad or René Revol, who will come to present their works and which clearly shows that the book is ecumenical. Then we will find big names in the field like Jean-Marie Peretti, the pope of human resources in or Jacques Igalens, in the field of management. Or Laurent Capeletti, a very well-known and well-respected teacher in his field. And many others obviously.

What does the company book represent?

Quite a few things actually and that’s a shame. We favor novels and practical books whereas, for me, an essay on business is thought-provoking. However, in business, we are in action. The book allows you to take a step back, better analyze your behavior, better understand that of your boss or your colleagues.

Why is it important to bring culture into the company?

To improve. When you watch a TV show on this subject, you only remember a few things. While the book allows you to take a step back. And besides, I encourage everyone to write a book. And I want to start the project to help companies create their own library. A pooling to create exchanges and make the book a support for reflection.

Saturday October 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Saint-Côme hotel (32 Grand-Rue Jean-Moulin. In partnership with the CCI Hérault, the Medef Hérault Montpellier, the CPME Hérault and the Librairie Gibert in Montpellier.
