200 is the number of books that the association supporting authors from the small sea and elsewhere (A4PM) has helped to publish in fourteen years. So, the release of “Arcangelo”, the book by Jean-François Huvert, deserved a little celebration.

It took place at the house of associations in the presence of Marie-Hélène des Esgaulx, president of the urban community (Cobas) and mayor of Gujan-Mestras, Karine Desmoulin, departmental councilor and mayor of Teich, Bruno Pastoureau representing the town of Teste de Buch.

Welcoming his guests, Yvon Técheney, president, returned to the creation of the genealogical research association. “Jacqueline Legrand, president of the genealogical circle, encourages me to write articles in the newsletter before suggesting that I write a book. This is what I do with my wife Josette! » The difficulties encountered in getting the work published pushed Yvon Techeney to self-publish. This is where A4PM was born.

This 200e Self-published work is presented by its author during the reading of one of the passages of the novel. It is the same for the first, signed by Yvon Techeney, the 50e (Yves Saint Avit), the 100e (Danièle Lemonier) and the 150e (Catherine Poirier). “All these books represent milestones in our action with authors,” says Yvon Técheney.

“Self-publishing is much more than a simple literary process. It is an affirmation of our individual capacity to share our stories, our knowledge and our experiences in an authentic and free way,” affirms Marie-Hélène des Esgaulx, welcoming the action of the association and the authors. “There is only a small step left to take to make A4PM an intercommunal association,” she continues.

Karine Desmoulin, welcoming the authors, recalls the importance of associative life to “create social bonds, solidarity, sharing and exchanges through your works”.
