Throughout the day of Sunday, April 28, the second book fair was held within the Labastide-Marnhac sports and leisure complex. Organized by the Friends of the Library association, in collaboration with the municipality, the Heritage and Culture association, in partnership with the Grand Cahors media library and the Lot departmental library, kept all its promises. In the presence of around twenty participants (authors, publishers, associations, bookbinders, without forgetting the sound library of Cahors and Lot which allows the visually impaired to access the content of numerous works, etc.), visitors were able to observe the great diversity of the offer presented and exchange with the authors of novels, historical books, comics, collections of photos…
At midday, Daniel Jarry, mayor of the town, took the floor to thank all the stakeholders of this day marked by culture: “This show, the result of bridges between several local associations, allows for enriching meetings “, he declared before concluding: “Books are beautiful objects and reading is, as everyone knows, the most beautiful routine…”
