It’s a big day for Apple’s new operating systems: iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2, which were unveiled in June at WWDC and spent the summer in beta, are due out tonight at around 7pm. The AirPods Pro 2 update already arrived last week. If you’re planning to update your devices, we recommend taking advantage of the day to make backups.

Note that these first versions of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia do not include any functionality related to Apple Intelligence. Some functions will arrive with iOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 next month. They will not be available within the European Union for iOS, but they will be accessible on macOS provided that the Mac is configured in English with an identifier registered in the United States. The deployment in French is announced for 2025.
