(Saint-Jean) A community of Newfoundland and Labrador declared the state of emergency and ordered the evacuation of certain residents due to a forest which has already destroyed some houses.

The city of Small Point, Broad Cove, Blackhead and Adam’s Cove declared the state of emergency for the Adam’s Cove region.

Municipal councilor Susan Rose indicated on Facebook that “a few houses have ”, but that everyone is safe.

The inhabitants of Adam’s Cove, north of Cave Lane, were ordered to evacuate the premises, because, according to the municipal authorities, a forest fire burns inside and between Adam’s Cove and the neighboring community of .
