Saturday, May 3, took place the first edition of the Joël-Carrère tournament. 19 teams responded, under 8 years old under 12, bringing together 250 rugby players at the Aiguille stadium, accompanied by around forty educators.
An intense day for volunteers mobilized around the rugby school. A refreshment bar, a sweet stand, a restoration and security were the missions ensured in joy and good humor.
On the sports side, we must congratulate all the clubs that responded to the invitation of the RC Trèbes to pay tribute to the deceased president Joël Carrère. A tournament under the sign of conviviality and sharing.
In the under -8 category, the friends of RC Alaric won the shield.
In the category of under 10, they are the neighbors of US Carcassonne, while in less than 12 years, the RC Narbonne has raised the shield. The Trèbes rugby school, the RCT Aiglons, dear to Julien Fabre and Michel Payet, proudly won the Joël-Carrère honor shield.
A big thank you for the friendly participation of the Béziers railway club.
The club also thanks all the children, the parents, the educators, the leaders, volunteers, and the Carrère, Mahie, Nancy and Brice family, its children, who participated greatly in the success of a Saturday as we like! It is with great emotion that the children of Joël Carrère, Nancy, Brice as well as his wife thanked all the participants and organizers for this moment of sharing in memory of a pillar of rugby.
